Dr. Carr has worked in the funeral industry for the past decade. She has served both in business to consumer and business to business roles. Melanie chose to explore this subject while working on her Ph.D. in Psychology because she witnessed first-hand funeral directors burning out and wanted to learn how to prevent this phenomenon.

Dr. Carr currently works for Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company which is based out of Abilene, Texas. She serves as a Director of Sales Development in North Central Texas and Arkansas. Melanie resides in DFW area.

Dr. Carr holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, a Master's Degree in Human Services, and a Ph.D. in Psychology. She regularly speaks to various groups on topics related to the funeral profession.
